Mission
In the field of Environmental Engineering, our mission is to educate solution-oriented engineers who are equipped with scientific and technological knowledge, sensitive to environmental issues, and committed to ethical values; and to contribute to society and the environment through research, projects, and applications aligned with sustainable development goals. Our aim is to train well-equipped individuals by conveying the fundamental biological, chemical, and physical principles, engineering concepts, and laboratory and computational skills necessary for identifying and solving 21st-century environmental problems through engineering approaches, and to conduct high-quality research in the field of environmental engineering.
Vision
It has adopted as its core principle to be a department that plays an active role in Turkey’s development, renews itself in line with the needs for solving both national and global environmental problems, and develops and implements contemporary education and research strategies in this field. Among our goals is also to become a leading department that produces innovative, sustainable, and scientific solutions to environmental problems; is recognized nationally and internationally; and educates environmentally conscious engineers equipped with the knowledge, technology, and ethical understanding necessary to enable a life in harmony with nature

Developing and implementing sustainable approaches that aim to preserve natural resources for future generations lies at the heart of our educational and research activities.
